Google Sheets
Work directly from a Google Sheet: your team edits the sheet, BatchRender reads rows and writes render status back into it.
Signing in
Section titled “Signing in”- Open the Google Sheets page in the panel and click Sign In.
- Your browser opens Google’s standard sign-in and consent screen.
- Approve access; the panel picks up the session automatically.
BatchRender can only see spreadsheets you explicitly pick, never the rest of your Drive.
Adding sheets
Section titled “Adding sheets”New spreadsheets are added through the Google file picker: click Browse Drive, select one or more spreadsheets, and they appear in the panel’s sheet list. The list is remembered across sessions.
The picker opens with the Google account you signed in to the panel with, even when your browser is logged in to several. Google only gives BatchRender access to a picked file for the account that picked it, so a spreadsheet chosen with a different account could not be read. If that happens anyway, nothing is added and the status bar names both accounts.
The picker waits 10 minutes for your choice. After that, click Browse Drive again.
Connecting worksheets
Section titled “Connecting worksheets”- Expand a spreadsheet in the tree to list its worksheets (tabs).
- Tick the worksheets you want, up to 10 at a time.
- Click Connect.
As with other sources: Batch Render uses the first connected worksheet, Agent Mode scans all of them.
Linking to images and video
Section titled “Linking to images and video”A footage column can hold a link instead of a filename; see Files from the internet for which links work.
In Google Sheets, the URL has to be the cell’s own text. A link attached to different text with
Ctrl+K, and a =HYPERLINK("...", "label") formula, both leave the cell
reading as the label, and the label is all BatchRender receives from Google.
Paste the address into the cell instead.
Status write-back
Section titled “Status write-back”In Agent Mode, BatchRender writes progress into the worksheet’s status
column (rendering..., complete, error: ...), so everyone looking at the
sheet sees live render state. Delivery information columns are filled
in the same way.
Usage limits
Section titled “Usage limits”Google limits how often its spreadsheets can be read and written. When Google asks BatchRender to slow down, it waits and continues on its own.
Signing out
Section titled “Signing out”Sign Out uses a two-step confirmation (click, then confirm within a moment). Signing out clears the sheet list and selection in the panel and removes your Google sign-in from this machine.
