Introduction
BatchRender is an Adobe After Effects extension for data-driven batch rendering. You prepare one After Effects project as a template, connect a data source with one row per version, and BatchRender renders every row: injecting text, swapping footage, and queuing the comp for each version automatically.
How it works
Section titled “How it works”- Prepare your project. Name your text layers and footage items after the columns in your data. That is the entire mapping. No tags, no scripting.
- Connect a data source. A local CSV, TSV or JSON file, a Google Sheet, or an Airtable view.
- Render. Either render a fixed row range in one go (Batch Render), or turn
on Agent Mode and let the panel watch your sheet for new rows marked
ready.
For each row, BatchRender:
- finds every text layer whose name matches a column and replaces its text
- finds every footage item whose name matches a column and replaces its source file
- optionally opens a different project file, applies render setting and output module templates, and sets the output filename
- adds the comp to the render queue and renders it
Typical use cases
Section titled “Typical use cases”- Localized versions of one ad in 30 languages
- Personalized videos generated from CRM data
- Sports or event graphics where scores and names change every week
- Any pipeline where non-artists should be able to queue renders by editing a spreadsheet
