Do I need to tag layers or add expressions to my project?
Section titled “Do I need to tag layers or add expressions to my project?”No. An existing project works as soon as layer and footage names match your columns. See Project Setup.
Can non-After Effects users queue renders?
Section titled “Can non-After Effects users queue renders?”Yes, that is the core idea of Agent Mode. Anyone with edit access to the
connected Google Sheet or Airtable base queues a render by setting a row’s
status to ready. They never touch After Effects.
Does BatchRender upload my project or footage anywhere?
Section titled “Does BatchRender upload my project or footage anywhere?”No. Rendering happens locally in your After Effects (or on your own render nodes via watch folder). Data sources are read directly from your machine to Google/Airtable over your own authenticated session. There is no BatchRender cloud in between.
How are my Google/Airtable logins stored?
Section titled “How are my Google/Airtable logins stored?”You sign in through Google’s or Airtable’s own page in your browser; BatchRender never sees your password. Your sign-in is stored securely on this computer only, is never included in presets or logs, and is removed when you sign out.
Can BatchRender see my whole Google Drive?
Section titled “Can BatchRender see my whole Google Drive?”No. Only spreadsheets you explicitly select in the Google file picker are accessible.
Can different rows render different comps, projects or formats?
